Real vs Fake: How to Authenticate the Jellycat Amuseable Peanut Bag Charm

Released as part of Jellycat’s beloved Amuseables line, the Peanut Bag Charm is known for its quirky expression, compact size, and soft, premium materials. But as Jellycat collectibles grow in popularity, counterfeits have become increasingly common. This guide walks you through the checkpoints to help you quickly tell whether your Peanut Bag Charm is genuine or a replica.

How to Spot a Fake Jellycat Peanut Bag Charm

1. Hangtag Font Differences

The hangtag typography varies noticeably — replicas often have incorrect font style or layout.

2. Manufacturing Label Text

The country-of-origin label on fakes shows inconsistencies in font thickness and alignment.

3. “C” Label Font

Counterfeits typically get the “C” tag wrong, with mismatched lettering.

4. Care Label Printing

The washing label on fake units has visible deviations in both font and formatting.

5. Logo Tag Embroidery

The logo patch compares poorly on replicas — design, text, and spacing differ significantly.

6. Overall Size & Build

Fake Peanut Bag Charms are noticeably larger and lack the refined finish of authentic pieces.
