Supreme New Era Box Logo Beanie
Known for its cult following and high resell value, ultimate streetwear brand Supreme also has an extensive history of collaborations with some of the hottest brands around.
Founded in 1920, New Era has been the headwear brand of choice in the fashion, music and sports industries. Supreme teamed up with New Era and since then has been dropping all kinds of baseball caps and beanies every year, which remain immensely popular.
For several recent drops, New Era factories have accidentally leaked information about their embroidery process, making replicas even harder to catch.
We managed to get our hands on one such beanie, and here are some of the details we spotted below.
Exterior - the New Era logo in the corner of the real beanie has even stitching and almost looks 3D. On the replica however, the E looks completely different and there is just too much spacing between each letter.
The real beanie has incorporated other details to prevent replicas from looking exactly the same. On the letters "E" and "W" there is a small pointed dot sticking out from the top, and their positions on each letter are the same. The replica version missed this detail and the letters look flatter too.
Washing label - compared to the real beanie, the text on the replica version is not as clear and slightly faded. From our experience, the size of the washing label is quite often inconsistent on replicas, usually being slanted or too long.
