Where can I find the code or marking?
Find the blind stamp on an interior leather panel or strap. Read both the letter and the surrounding shape. Artisan marks and exotic-leather symbols are separate markings.

Recheck the characters and the type of marking. Vintage pieces, transition-era labels and newer layouts may fall outside this reference. Missing or unmatched codes do not establish that an item is counterfeit.
