LegitApp provides authentication services based on digital imagery. The accuracy of the conclusion is directly contingent upon the quality and completeness of the photographs provided by the user. All authentication conclusions are made based on, and solely on, the image data currently provided by the user.
Special Declaration: For watches, beauty/skincare products, and electronic products, our authentication services are conducted solely based on the photographs of the product's external physical features provided by you. For goods involving internal liquids, pastes, chemical compositions, or internal mechanical, electronic components, and software systems, image-based authentication can only verify the external physical packaging or casing.
We will only issue an "AUTHENTIC" conclusion when our senior authenticators and AI model have conducted a deep analysis of all provided photos and found no replica characteristics, logical conflicts, or craftsmanship flaws. This signifies that, based on strict comparison with official authentic products, the item highly matches authentic characteristics within the scope displayed.
We acknowledge that some items may undergo legitimate maintenance or repair during long-term use. If the replaced components do not bear the brand Logo, do not infringe upon the original brand's intellectual property rights, and are absolutely not the core main body of the item, we may still determine the item as AUTHENTIC overall, while noting "Non-Original Parts" in the report.
This service only performs photo-based authenticity verification on the main body of the product, excluding condition evaluations (such as vachetta leather discoloration, repainting/touch-ups, edge paint wear/repair, and odor) and accessory completeness. The authentication is strictly based on the parts shown in the images uploaded by the user; unphotographed areas will not be authenticated. If the main body of the product and core authentication points bearing brand logos are genuine, the item is determined as "AUTHENTIC". Non-original, non-core components without brand logos (such as dust bags, straps, etc.) or minor maintenance do not affect the authentic determination, and will be noted in the report upon successful identification. However, cases involving extensive non-original repainting/restoration, replaced core leather/accessories, abnormal mixing/matching, aftermarket splicing, DIY modifications, or mismatched serial numbers and origin labels will be determined as "INCONCLUSIVE".
In the watch market, aftermarket diamonds/gemstones (DIY modifications) or parts replacements are common occurrences. For the watch category, the final authentication result primarily depends on the photographic inspection of the case and movement. If you can safely open the case, providing photos of the movement and shock absorber will greatly facilitate a more in-depth authentication; if no movement photos are provided, our authentication conclusion will be based solely on the external case. For other non-core components of the watch, including but not limited to the dial, clasp, hand shafts, hand tips, crown, and aftermarket diamonds/gemstones, the presence of non-original or aftermarket parts will not affect the overall "AUTHENTIC" determination of the watch. Although the aforementioned non-original parts do not affect the overall authentic conclusion, to ensure absolute transactional transparency, our authenticators will explicitly identify and note all non-original or aftermarket components in the authentication report.
For cosmetics and skincare products, our image-based authentication service only verifies the craftsmanship characteristics of the product's external packaging and container. Due to the physical limitations of image authentication, we cannot authenticate the internal chemical composition, texture, or contents of the product through photographs. Therefore, an "AUTHENTIC" conclusion for such products only represents that its external packaging and container conform to official authentic characteristics, and does not encompass a guarantee of authenticity for the actual internal substances.
For electronic products, our image-based authentication service only verifies the craftsmanship of the product's external physical features, such as the casing, screen, ports, and labels. Due to the physical limitations of image authentication, we cannot authenticate the internal hardware (e.g., chips, motherboards), system software, or actual operational functionality of the device through photographs. Therefore, an "AUTHENTIC" conclusion for such products only represents that its external features conform to official authentic craftsmanship, and does not encompass a guarantee of authenticity for the internal hardware configuration or software system.
Except for the explicitly exempted special circumstances mentioned above (e.g., specific non-original watch parts), LegitApp adopts a "zero tolerance" attitude towards counterfeit products. If our authenticators or AI system identify any replica elements in the provided photos (e.g., counterfeit zippers, straps, or other core/ancillary accessories), the overall authentication result for the item will be directly classified as a "REPLICA".
For cases determined as a "REPLICA", our experts will explicitly mark a cross on the photos of the problematic areas as a warning. Concurrently, our AI system will output a Replica Index, quantitatively analyzing the item's craftsmanship deviations to help users intuitively understand its risk level.
Rigor Above All: The Principle of Quality over Quantity
When the following situations occur, the system will issue an INCONCLUSIVE result:
Insufficient Data: The provided pictures are insufficient in quantity, poorly lit, blurry, or fail to cover key authentication feature points.
Severe Wear or Aging: The item has suffered excessive wear due to long-term use, causing key authentication feature points (such as engravings, Logos, stitching, wash tags, etc.) to completely fade or be lost. Lacking sufficient identifiable features for comparison, we cannot provide an accurate conclusion.
Joint Review Yields No Result: When a divergence of opinion exists between the AI and human experts, the order enters a joint review by the expert panel. If an absolute consensus still cannot be reached after in-depth deliberation, we will issue an inconclusive result.
Deep Customization or Unofficial Models: The item may be spliced or modified from authentic materials, but that specific model or style has never been officially released by the brand. Lacking an official reference standard, we cannot provide a definitive conclusion.
Extremely High Value or Rare Items: For top-tier items of extremely rare materials or exceedingly high value, image-based authentication has inherent limitations. To ensure absolute rigor, we only provide offline physical authentication services for such items in specific regions.
Unreleased or Newly Released Items: The item you submitted (e.g., unreleased sneakers) currently lacks sufficient official data support. For newly launched products, our database typically requires 2-3 business days to establish a comprehensive authentic material archive. During this period, the system may issue an inconclusive result.
High-Risk Styles with Insufficient Authentication Features: A very small minority of specific styles from specific brands inherently lack sufficient anti-counterfeiting feature points for comparison and verification in their design or craftsmanship. For these exceedingly rare high-risk items that cannot be cross-verified through conventional feature points, out of rigorous consideration, we will process them as inconclusive.
User Protection Mechanism:
If the final result of your authentication order is "INCONCLUSIVE", the tokens consumed for this authentication will be fully refunded to your account wallet, and you will not bear any financial loss.
1. Nature of Service and "As Is" Provision: The authentication results provided by LegitApp solely represent independent professional opinions derived from the images provided by the user and the platform's existing database, and do not constitute official authentication conclusions or warranties with legally binding force. The updated clauses shall take effect immediately upon publication on the official platform. LegitApp holds the right of final interpretation regarding these authentication standards.
