Real vs Replica

Nike Blazer Mid sacai White Grey

Today's REAL VS. REPLICA op-ed compares the sacai x Nike Blazer Mid White Grey (BV0072-100). When this particular batch of replicas surfaced, quite a few authentication platforms mistook them for the real deal. We decided to investigate ourselves - and found these inconsistencies. Read on below.

First, the exterior of the shoe. As pointed out in the top image, the stitching of the Swoosh on the real shoe is tight and uniform, whereas the replica has wider, uneven stitches. The bottom image shows the pattern on the side of the replica shoe is also different. Compared to the real shoe, the replica has a more prominent, bumpier pattern.

The real shoe has an encircled Nike logo on the shoe stretcher, which the replica doesn't have.

The glue pattern on the back of the insole is another obvious inconsistency. The back of the replica insole has yellow patches that indicate a cheaper glue was used, whereas the real insole has clean glue marks throughout.

We won't share all the details here to prevent replicas from catching up. If you have questions or a pair that needs authenticating, head over to LEGIT APP and talk to one of our trained Authenticators!
