Goodbye Protection+
Financial Guarantee: Effective immediately, the Protection+ service will no longer be available. The good news? All users will automatically enjoy our Financial Guarantee for every authenticated item at no extra cost! This means you no longer need to add funds for additional protection—every item we certify is covered by the Financial Guarantee for 90 days.
New Financial Guarantee Policy
Our Financial Guarantee policy provides a safety net for every authenticated item. Here’s how it works:
A. Legit App-Initiated Review
We are proud of our industry-leading authentication process, which boasts an accuracy rate of over 99.9% since launch. Every item undergoes a rigorous multi-step authentication involving expert human review and advanced AI technology.
If we identify any discrepancies after the final review, we will initiate the Financial Guarantee process and notify you immediately.
B. User-Initiated Dispute
If you believe that the authentication result is incorrect, you can submit a dispute request. The process is simple:
a. Access the dispute form via your Legit App account.
b. Complete the form and pay the dispute fee.
c. We’ll review your submission and initiate an investigation within 20 business days.
Once your dispute request is approved, we’ll send you a prepaid shipping label to send the item to our authentication center. Our experts will re-evaluate the item, and we’ll notify you of the final decision.
Possible Outcomes of a Dispute
A. Authentication Re-Confirmed:
You’ll be responsible for the dispute fee, and the item will be returned to you if authentic. If the item is a replica, it will be retained by Legit App for further analysis and cannot be returned due to legal and ethical guidelines.
B. Authentication Not-Confirmed:
If the final review shows that the result of your authentication is not confirmed, we will issue a Financial Guarantee payment to you. In this case, you will be reimbursed based on the terms outlined below.
Final Decision
Once a dispute is resolved, the decision is final. Legit App reserves the right to interpret and apply this policy at its discretion. Any disputes arising from this interpretation will be resolved by Legit App Inc.
Key Details to Know
A. Eligibility: Only the Certificate Holder listed on the Legit App certificate can initiate a dispute. You must provide proof of ownership for the disputed item.
B. Non-Transferable: The Financial Guarantee is non-transferable. Only the original Certificate Holder is eligible to make a claim.
C. Guarantee Validity: The Financial Guarantee is valid for 90 days from the original authentication date.
D. Coverage: The guarantee covers the original purchase price, subject to documentation (e.g., receipt). Shipping costs for returns will be covered by Legit App, but other costs (taxes, duties, etc.) are not included.
E. Currency: For international transactions, the guarantee payment will be made in USD at the exchange rate at the time of payment.
F. Payment Method: Financial Guarantee payments are made via wire transfer.
